Cristiano Ronaldo is the club's second highest scorer in the Champions League

With his goal against Borussia Dortmund he has now racked up a total of 49 in the competition and just trails Raúl's 66 in the club's history books.

Cristiano Ronaldo continues to make history with Real Madrid and after scoring against Borussia Dortmund last night, he has now equalled Di Stéfano's number in the European Cup. With 49 goals, the Portuguese is now the club's second highest scorer in the history of the competition. This season he has outdone himself, finding the mark more times than ever before in the Champions League, where he has already scored 14 goals. On top of that, he has found the back of the net in all eight of the matches he has featured in.

Cristiano Ronaldo's goal per game ratio in the Champions League with Real Madrid is remarkable, with the striker scoring more than once in every match on average. To reach Di Stéfano's number he has needed just 48 matches, while the Argentine legend scored his goals over 58 games during a nine-season spell. The only man ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo in this list is Raúl, who scored 66 times in the competition.
